What trustees do

We are currently looking to recruit new voluntary board directors to join our board. The role of the board is to determine strategy, and to direct, control, scrutinise and evaluate the Brigshaw Learning Partnerships (BLP’s) affairs so as to ensure its continuity and sound health as a provider of education. Members of the board should collectively possess the qualities, skills and experience required to make both strategic decisions and to monitor the BLP’s performance. As far as is possible, they should also reflect the community served by the BLP.

Whether you’re an experienced director or wanting to take your first step at board level, we want to hear from you. Ideally our new board members will have skills in one or more of the following areas: education; finance; HR; business or operations management.

The expected time commitment is 5 Board meetings per year plus time to attend committees relevant to your skill set or attend meetings with school leaders.
